Prof. Trudel is an Associate Professor in Carleton’s School of Industrial Design, cross-appointed to the School of Information Technology and a faculty member in the Human Computer Interaction program. She is an industrial designer and human factors professional with several years of industry experience in product design, architectural design and healthcare planning. Her research supports a continuum of health and wellness and she is part of the READ Initiative’s community of researchers.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Human Factors from the University of Nottingham, as well as a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Carleton and a Bachelor of Arts Philosophy from University of Ottawa.
Trudel is the inaugural director of Carleton's new Centre for Community Engagement.
